TOURNAMENT PREVIEW

Eastside Rapids have been drawn into Group B of the Boys U11s tournament alongside four other teams. Baskauri KE A will be the first opposition at 9:00 am on Monday, with the side getting the afternoon off to rest up for a big double-header against two Catalan sides on Tuesday. It will be another early start for the boys as they come up against team Fundació Terrassa A at 9 am before a 6:00 pm evening encounter with CD Riudoms. Finally, Rapids will go up against DSC JF B in an all-British tie to end the group at 9:50 on Wednesday morning. All group winners will qualify for the Gold Cup along with the three best second-placed teams.

Despite a fantastic trio of goals, Eastside Rapids fall to a 7-3 defeat in the opening game. Kai Steel, Nathan Sneddon and Buddy Sawers were all on the scoresheet for Rapids but Baskauri KE proved too strong for the Scots.
