TOURNAMENT PREVIEW

We have a jam-packed schedule over the weekend as we face five Dutch teams- VV Hoogeveen, SV Gramsbergen, WRC Academy, TOB and SV Zwolle in Pool A of the U13 portion of the Easter Open East. VV Hoogeveen sit in 10th place in their league, having only picked up 2 wins in 7 games. SV Gramsbergen have been a mixed bag in the three phases of their league campaign so far, having picked up 7 wins in 15 games. Little statistical data exists for WRC Academy, making them an unknown entity. TOB has had a strong season so far, finishing top in 2 out of their 3 league phases. SV Zwolle have been the definition of inconsistent so far, winning 10 out of their 20 matches over their three league phases this season.

Our schedule is as follows- Saturday: North Berwick v VV Hoogeveen 13:00 (UK), North Berwick v SV Gramsbergen 14:10 (UK), North Berwick v WRC Academy 15:20 (UK). Sunday: North Berwick v TOB 09:05 (UK), North Berwick v SV Zwolle 10:15 (UK).

It has certainly been a successful start to the tournament for us, going unbeaten in our first 3 games, getting 2 wins and a draw so far. attention turns to tomorrow's remaining 2 fixtures. With hopes high, it should be another great day!

As day 2 of the Holland Easter Open gets underway here’s a reminder of what’s to come…

After two wins and a thrilling 3-3 draw yesterday we go into our final group game against TOB top of the table!

With a great 7-1 victory over TOB we have finished second in the group and secured our place in the final!

We will face VV Hoogeveen, who we drew 3-3 with yesterday to hopefully get our hands on the trophy...

What a weekend it was for the team! Going unbeaten in the group stage, with 4 wins and 1 draw we cruised past VV Hoogeveen 3-0 in the final. It was certainly an unforgettable weekend for everyone involved.

“Absolutely delighted by the performance from the boys. After a slow start they delivered when it mattered, saving their best performance of the tournament for the final. We are very proud of the boys. We also extend our gratitude and thanks to the players and coaches that we played against. Every game was played in the right spirit and we wish all of them very best as they continue their football journey.”
