What a day! In a whistlestop tour... We have appeared on BBC Radio, went pitchside at the Johan Cruyff Arena, donned giant clogs and the dads can't get enough of the swimming pool. It's time to catch our breath, before this blog properly kicks off tomorrow.

TOURNAMENT PREVIEW (West of Scotland 1)

We are facing Dutch sides HBDZ '23 and UDI'19 (1), and English outfit Football Development Schools (1). There is little data for any of the young sides we are facing in Pool C of the U9 portion of the tournament.

Our schedule is as follows- West of Scotland v HBDZ '23 13:00 (UK), West of Scotland v UDI'19 (1) 14:10 (UK), West of Scotland v Football Development Schools (1) 15:20 (UK).

Our 1s move into the plate tomorrow after finishing third in our group, managing 2 draws along the way. Our 2s move through as winners of Pool A, getting 2 wins and a draw, including a massive 8-0 win against Odiliapeel Braks Groep! Big smiles all round.

As day 2 of the Holland Easter Open gets underway here’s a reminder of what’s to come…

Team 1:

After some good performances yesterday, picking up draws against some good Dutch sides but unfortunately not doing enough to qualify for the cup, we now will try to end on a high as we face three more.

We begin against VV Ter Leede before facing VIOS’38 Beugen. We will then finish the group with a match against RKSV Venhorst.

Team 2:

After a fantastic performance yesterday topping the group with seven points scoring ten goals along the way, we have qualified for the cup.

We get underway against Peterborough Junior Blues. We then face Football Development Schools (2), in a replay of yesterday’s encounter where we won 2-0. At last we will then play DSV Sint Anthonies to conclude the group. Peterborough cruised through their group without conceding a single goal making them the team to beat this afternoon.

WEEKEND ROUNDUP

It has certainly been a successful weekend for both our our teams. Team 1 finished top of the 9-12 ranking group with 3 wins after finishing 3rd in Pool A yesterday. Team 2 managed to win the 1-8A ranking group, getting to the final where we lost out to Pathway Coaching. It has been a fantastic weekend for all the team!
